The DSM-5 was introduced in May 2013 with some significant changes from the DSM-IV-TR. AATBS now offers a 4 hour Video Workshop that provides a concise review of diagnostic criteria associated with the most common disorders and will highlight important features, such as subtypes/specifiers and differential diagnosis.
The workshop provides an effective way of systematically learning about the disorders in DSM-5. It is an exceptional supplement to our study programs for mental health professionals preparing to take a licensure exam, and is also valuable for licensed clinicians seeking to become familiar with the DSM-5.
At the completion of the Video Workshop, participants will be able to:
- Recognize new, modified, and eliminated diagnostic criteria and classifications in the DSM 5
- Delineate the key symptoms associated with differential diagnoses of related disorders
- Understand important features associated with the DSM-5 disorders, e.g., subtypes, prevalence, differential diagnosis.
